The Land of Maybe – a rather lyrical name for the 18 North Atlantic islands of the Faroes, despite it advising flexibility due to the weather.
However the climate is relatively benign thanks to the Gulf Stream and, although the wind and rain can indeed be challenging, the islands are beautiful. I would suggest at least 2 weeks to explore them fully and then another if you want to get really off the beaten track.
Still under the aegis of Denmark, they are well connected by bridges, tunnels and subsidised ferries.
